Thank you to our presenting sponsor: Vancouver’s north shore Tourism association

With gorgeous natural sights, a vibrant cultural scene, and world-class restaurants, Vancouver’s North Shore is a destination for travelers worldwide. When visitors arrive, they’re greeted with a warm community that rests on the water’s edge and at the foot of mountains. We take pride in hosting guests from across the globe and hope to keep the North Shore shining as brightly as possible for generations to come.

In order to help preserve the beauty of our home and ensure that we can continue welcoming new visitors, we put together an easy-to-follow guide to help promote responsible and sustainable tourism: North Shore Like a Local

Thank you Zazou Salon & Academy

At Zazou Salon & Academy, we believe beauty and sustainability go hand in hand.

As the first carbon-neutral salon in Metro Vancouver and a certified Green Circle Salon, we recycle up to 97% of our salon waste, including hair, foils, and color tubes, preventing thousands of pounds of beauty waste from ending up in landfills each year. Our operations are designed with the planet in mind, from low-flow sinks to digital booking systems that reduce paper use. We carefully choose eco-conscious brands like Davines, La Biosthetique, and Design.Me, whose plastic-neutral products and ethical sourcing align with our values.

Beyond the salon, we’ve partnered with OneTreePlanted to plant over 10, 300 trees to restore forests impacted by wildfire and support biodiversity. With innovations like Vish color management technology, we reduce product waste while delivering the exceptional results our guests expect.

At Zazou, sustainability isn’t just a practice; it’s our commitment to the environment, our community, and our future.
